Mr Goffey unfortunately does not exist well, only in my imagination! Goffey was the name of my father’s solicitor practise. This was taken over by a much larger concern once he had retired. His was a business built on personal reputation and above all else – service to their clients (and this has become my major business ethos).
In these days of business stress Goffey believes in regular contact with his clients, agreed fixed fees and the ability for clients to contact Goffey without the ‘clock-ticking’. Goffey understands when a business needs advice – it needs advice. This is perhaps why so many small businesses fail in the early days - the owner managers are too afraid of a large accountancy bill to want to contact their advisor.
Tim Farley FCCA
I qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1998 but in a previous career I worked as a Duty Hotel Manager. I therefore have real experience in business and understand the pressures of a business that never closes.
My clients are all around the country. With increased use of email and mobile telephones, having a ‘local’ accountant is no longer a necessity.
Clients basically are split into two sectors – as my service page details, Individuals who need tax advice/work and small businesses. Business support covers both regular accounts and more specialist projects. For you, the client, this gives you the opportunity to discuss confidential matters with a trusted advisor and get a simple 'plain English' view.
My ethos is ‘High Quality Service which meets your needs and regular contact with clients is paramount’.
